The EBS International Film Festival is the only film festival in the world hosted by EBS (Korea Educational Broadcasting System) that screens films both in cinemas and broadcasts them on a TV network simultaneously. On August 23rd, *Landscapes of Home* was screened at Cinecube Gwanghwamun in Seoul, followed by a Q&A session with film critic Hee-Jung Son, allowing for a more in-depth discussion with Korean audiences.

Despite our concern that the era experienced by Henry and Stewart might be a sensitive topic for Korean viewers, most attendees empathized with the personal suffering of individuals caught in the tides of history, regardless of nationality.

Like the opening line, “History has failed us, but no matter,” from Min Jin Lee’s 2017 historical fiction bestseller *Pachinko*, the audience was moved by the resilience of individuals swept up in historical events.

We realized that a story that unfolded at the foot of the Rocky Mountains so long ago can resonate with today’s Korean audience, transcending time and space, demonstrates the true power of storytelling.
